Advertising your Attraction or Event Venue and its events

You can advertise your attraction or event venue, and their events, for FREE on this website.

 

How do you do it?

Before you can add an event we have to have details of the venue in our system.

Is your event venue, that is the theatre, hall, showground, club, etc, already listed on this website?

YES: If the answer is YES then go to its page and toward the bottom of the page you will see a link labelled "Event Application Form". Simply fill in the form with details of your event and then press submit. (The easy way to find a venue is to type its name into the search box in the top right of this page)

NO:  If the answer is NO then before we can do anything else we must add the venue - Read on...

To add a venue go to venue's location, that is the town or village where it is located. If the venue is in a city then go to the neighbourhood location within the city.

At the top of all neighbourhood, town or village location pages there is a link labelled "Attraction". Click on "Attraction" and it will take you down the page where you find a BIG GREEN BUTTON labelled "Add my attraction or Add my event venue". The easy way to find a location is to use our Find UK place, but remember you are looking for a neighbourhood, town or village not the city, district or borough as some of them have the same names as in this example; the TOWN of Bury is in the METROPOLITAN AREA of Bury, it would be the TOWN that you want. You cannot add attractions or venues at any level above neighbourhood, town or village

When you get to the location simply fill in the form with the venue details (NOT THE EVENT DETAILS). Once we approve the event location will will notify you by email and give you a link so that you may add the details of your event.

The next time you have an event the process will be much easier as you will be able to add the details directly into the venue page.

If you still have difficulty then tell us about your problem along with the name of the venue its location (address and post code) using our FEEDBACK page or if it's really urgent leave us a message on 01480 495859. We will set up the attraction or venue for you and email you when it is done along with a link so you can add your event details.

 

There are some further notes below that may help to answer any questions that you may have.

 

How much will it cost?

NOTHING: All we ask for in return is a link back from you website to ours and that is not compulsory BUT when we are busy we do prioritise those that do! Remember you will be getting multiple hypertext links from our site to yours.

Do I need my own website?

No, just leave the URL (web address) blank. As you will see below our system will create a page for you for FREE. But remember your exact location, address and telephone become even more important so that visitors can find and contact you.

What will I get?

Our system will create a detail page for your attraction/venue, including a map showing your exact location, and all the other details that you supplied to us. A link to your page will appear on our local location page and also in the relevant sections of our Attractions and Entertainments listings. 

Your page will also later display all the events that you tell us about. Small events will also be displayed on the location page on our site, medium sized events at Borough or District level, bigger events at County or Regional level. Large events will show in the National Events Diaries for England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland and REALLY  large events will also show in our main British National Events Diary and its associated RSS feed.

You also get the benefit of multiple hypertext links from our site to yours.

When can I put events on my page?

Once your event venue page has been created a unique application form will appear on the page. You can use this to tell us about events being held at your venue?

We will check you application and if approved it will appear on the site.

Can anyone else submit an event application for my venue?

Yes! Many venues are hired by individuals and groups. They can also use the same facility to tell us about their event. If we have any doubt we will contact the owner/manager of that location prior to approving their application.

How long will the event show on my page?

Your event will appear as soon as we approve each application and will stay there until just past the end date of the event. Our systems will automatically archive the event once it has passed. You need to do nothing.

If an event is cancelled can I delete it?

No, but you can tell us that it has happened and we will do it for you.

Can I change the details on my venue page?

Yes. Simply send us another application we will amend the details for you.
