This section details places to go and see. Here the major UK tourist attractions and UK visitor attractions listed in alphabetical order by type with links to the website of each tourist attraction, if they have one! and also a link to each district within the British Towns Directory so you cannot only see how to get there but also what else there is to do in that location.

We also display these tourist and visitor attractions grouped together as they are here in the national sections of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. They are shown as locations on our maps at district, town and parish or community level. The major groups, listed immediately below, are also displayed on a national maps as a complete group with links to both their own websites and their physical location on our pages.

On this site we display Tourist and Visitor Attractions and Entertainment and Event Venues as two different sections on the basis that an attraction is a place that you would still visit if there were no special events occurring during your visit, whereas an entertainment or event venue is a place normally only visited during an event. There are exceptions, but then they are easy to find using our search facility anyway.

We do not mind how big or how small the attraction is as long as it is open to the public nor do you need your own website as we will create a page for you attraction along with a location map  and all the details you supply to us including photographs if you have them.
