The Welsh word "Cadw" is not an acronym, it simply translates as "to keep" in English which is very descriptive of the Cadw function.

Many of the Cadw historic properties are FREE to visit and are open to visitors at any reasonable time, please check these details before you set off. You can do this from the property detail page on this site that carries a link directly to each properties own web page.
