The land of castles and kings, stately homes and gardens. In this section of the web site we have brought together information which relates to the United Kingdom as a whole. You will find similar national sections for England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland with information that relates specifically and uniquely to those nations.
This section beings with a large section about the British Monarchy whom we refer to as the Royal Family. You will find numerous pictures and details of the reigning monarchs from 1485 onwards. Prior to this you will find the details of the Kings and Queens of England, Scotland and Wales in the section about those nations (Links above).
We also have a growing time-line of British History commencing in the Lower Palæolithic period or rather 2.5 million years ago to the present day this section is not designed to be an academic reference but a brief summary to give our visitors a general background about our history and Heritage.
There is also a section displaying the common British Flags in use around our nation and another section detailing our national statistics or demographics of the United Kingdom, that is how big or small we, how many people are there, how long is our coastline, etc. Finally some interesting images of old London which we will eventually move into our main picture collection and a link to our site about the Commonwealth of Nations.
And there are a number of stencils of images that are related to things that are British for the kids to print off and colour in on a rainy day as we have quite a few of those!
