In the summer months the Solent and waters around the Isle of Wight abound with yachts and motor cruisers occasionally punctuated by the passage of an Ocean Liner from Southampton or a Naval vessel from Portsmouth but for those whom the sea does not hold a fascination then there is plenty to do on dry land.

Hampshire boasts both the New Forest and the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu. The county is almost dissected by the Test Valley one of the countries famous river fishing locations. There are plenty of other attractions from Buster Iron Age Farm to Rockbourne Roman Villa. To the north the population increases in the new counties forming around the M4 corridor between Bristol and London. But here too there is plenty to see including Windsor Castle.
