Just one of the many Scarecrows to be found.
Saturday 5th ?Sunday 6th June.
Once again Wood Norton Village is proud to announce another ?Scarecrow Spectacular?. As in recent years the roads through the village will be closed to vehicles, to enable our visitors to wander around our lovely village. This will help you to enjoy the diversity and ingenuity of our scarecrow builders. A hop-on/hop-off open sided people-carrier will also tour around the village, if you prefer to have a more leisurely view of the scarecrows and the multitude of other events.
Take in the sights and sounds of the Vintage Tractor Display, the smell and sound of the Narrow Gauge Railway, wander around the Art & Craft Fair, which is being held in the wonderful setting of All Saints Church. Grab a bargain on the White Elephant Stall, listen to the sounds of a real Thursford Organ, purchase a Home Made Cake, do the Treasure Hunt, win a prize on the Tombola. Have a drink or two, the bar is open all day, and at lunchtime grab a ploughmans. There?s a Plant Stall, Afternoon Teas and Ice Creams.
And as if that is not enough, there will be a ?Grand Draw? with some truly wonderful prizes. These will include a voucher for a 20min helicopter flight. Two nights in a 1 bedroom flat in London plus 2 best seats for Wicked at the Apollo. Two nights in a holiday cottage at Burnham Staithe, plus dinner for 2 at ?The Hero?. Dinner for 2 with wine at ?The Bank House, Kings Lynn, plus many, many more.
Finally, on Saturday evening there will be a chance to enjoy an outdoor concert. Bring a picnic if you wish and wash it down with a drink from the bar.
