Isothermic map (Temperatures) for the UK

You can use the map above to find out what the temperature is at any location within the UK and its immediate surroundings. You have to be aware that temperature also varies according to your height and roughly for every 100m (300ft) higher you are then the temperature will fall by one degree Celsius.

Local temperature is also effected by your surroundings. In a city it is normal for temperatures to be 2 or 3 degrees higher than in the surrounding countryside or if you are in a deep valley you may find yourself in a "frost pocket" with the temperature significantly lower. The figures on the map above are therefore only an indication of the current temperature.
