The Tiverton Canal Co is home to the last Horse-Drawn Barge in the West Country.
Located in Mid Devon on the banks of the Grand Western Canal, the Tiverton Canal Co., is a unique tourist attraction and offers a Very enjoyable family day out!.

1. Horse-Drawn Barge Trips... on a traditionally painted wide beam 75 seater Horse-Drawn Barge, with licensed Bar, Teas, coffees, snacks ice cream and Gifts. (barge runs from April to end of October see website for details)

2. Meet the Heavy Horses... Taffy a Welsh-Cob, Ross a Shire and Dandy a Clydesdale.

3. Boat Hire... Self Drive Motor Day Boats, Rowing Boats and Canadian Canoes.

4. Gift Shop and visitors centre...
Shop open: one hour before first public trip of the day, and closes at prox 5pm
Visitors centre open: all year.

5. Ducks Ditty Floating Café Bar...
Fully Licensed and permanently moored at the Tiverton wharf.
Trained Barista, serving: Freshly Ground Coffee, Espresso, Cappuccino and Latte. Looseleaf Tea, Quality Wines, Real Ales Draught Beer and Lagers. Also Devon handmade Hot Pies, Cakes and Cookies and the Best West Country Scoop Ice Cream.

6. The Grand Western Canal Country Park and Local Nature Reserve...
The 11 mile stretch of Grand Western Canal that you see today, is quiet and unspoilt and is now a Country Park and Local Nature Reserve owned and managed by Devon County Council with free access all year round. The Tiverton Canal Co is privately owned and run by the Brind family.
