St Lawrence's Church is a triplicate of breath-taking architectural buildings, lying next to the parish church of All Saints and the stunning bell tower of the abbey.
St Lawrence's has ancient roots, dating from the Norman period. An 18th century rebuilding produced a beautiful six-light window with complex tracery.
The church's elaborate craftwork is revealed by the spectacular stained glass windows depicting the last supper and resurrection. Designed by some of the most distinguished stained glass artists of the last 150 years, it reflects beautiful colours throughout the chancel.
The meticulous and detailed fan-vaulted ceiling dates back to the 16th century and features luxuriously panelled archways with a subtle and elegant 15th century font nestling beneath.
