The mansion house, grounds and policies were presented to Kilsyth Burgh by W. Mackay Lennox of Craigengoyne, Kilsyth, on his retiral as Town Clerk in 1937, as a memorial to his mother Margaret Lennox. The estate is open dawn to dusk throughout the year, house and museum by arrangement.
