Thursby Parish Hall is a Government or Public Building managed as a Tourist or Visitor Attraction by an Independent/Unknown Organisation and is located in or near Thursby, England.
Thursby village is equadistant between Carlisle and Wigton, on the A595. The Parish Hall, which is on the west edge of the village, has served the parish well over the last ninty years. It has a large Main Hall (120 people capacity), smaller meeting room, kitchen facilities, car park and toilets. There are no disabled toilets at present, but access to these is straightforward directly off the Main Hall. There is a disabled ramp to easy access into the building.
The Hall is owned by Thursby Parish Council, but managed by the Thursby Parish Hall Committee, which organises a variety of fund raising events for the Hall throughout the year. Approximately fourteen parish organisations use the Hall on a regular basis, but the Hall also hosts private parties, funeral teas and local exhibitions. The charges are £8 per hour for the whole building, £4 for the Meeting Room alone. The use of the kitchen facilities and all heating and lighting, are included.
