Nee Edith Villiers (1841-1936) she was the daughter of the Hon. Edward Ernest Villiers (1806-1843) and Hon. Elizabeth Charlotte Liddell (c1807-1890).  She married Edward Robert Bulwer-Lytton, 1st Earl of Lytton in October 1864, they had 7 children, their 1st and 4th child in infancy.  Edith was a Lady-of-the-Bedchamber to Queen Victoria 1895-1901 and to Queen Alexandra 1901-1905.  The family seat was Knebworth House
