Bettws y Crwyn parish is situated among the hills of South Shropshire. It is a scattered community with no village centre, but with several settlements among the hills. These include Anchor, Bettws y Crwyn and Quabbs, and, at approx 13000ft, the highest active Church in England.
Although the population of the parish is small, it is vibrant and has a great sense of community.Residents have written a book of its history, and may well soon embark on volume 2.
Bettws y Crwyn has its own website which contains 20+ pages, detailing its history, geography, organisations and committees, facilities, amenities and businesses. It also contains details of Bettws y Crwyn Parish Council activities, W.I events, Church and Parish Hall committees and events and much more. It is kept up to date, and has a blog used for communication about what is going on.
