This is a view of the power station from the 1950's, it was built on the site of the estate of Lord Norton who died in 1911, the house was demolished in the 1920's with the power station construction begun in 1928, it was demolished in 1978, part of the site is home to Hams Hall Enviromental Studies Centre for schools
