A brief description of this property and its facilities

We are an English Tourist Council 4 Star Silver award winning BandB elegantly combining the convenience of a traditional Bed and Breakfast with the luxury of self contained en-suite accommodation. Set in idyllic Cumbrian surroundings with easy access to the Cumbrian Lake District Bonny Scotland Hadrian's Wall the Historic Carlisle Race course. the famous Gretna Green and so much more. River Forge accommodation consists of two suites the first one a double (the River Room) and the second one a twin (the Garden Room) both have their own entrances en suite shower rooms television tea and coffee making facilities and are beautifully decorated. Formerly a Blacksmiths shop and forge circa 1602 River Forge has been tastefully restored to provide character and warmth with all modern amenities yet still preserving original features. Owned and managed by husband and wife team Paul and Kathy Robson and located in Carleton 10 minutes from Carlisle City Centre and 2 minutes from Junction 42 of the M6 the convenience of it's situation belies the tranquility that you will find at River Forge. With the River Petterill running through it's grounds this stunning country house has views to the open countryside together with the relaxing sounds of the river.
