At the time of this image from the early 1900's his residences were Glyndebourne, Lewes, and 117, Eaton Square, S.W.. He was born in 1830, the son of Langham Christie, Preston Deanery, Northants.  He was educated at Eton, and Trinity College, Cambridge. Justice of the Peace and Deputy Lieutenant for Sussec. M.P. For Lewes 1874-85. Married Agnes Hamilton, daughter and co-heir of Colonel Augustus Saltren Cleveland of Tapeley Park, in 1855.
