The key road and rail junction at Achnasheen is Scotland’s farthest north-west railway point. 50 miles out from Inverness, it opens the railway through Strath Bran to Loch Carron, as well as roads to Lochs Alsh, Torridon, Gairloch, Maree and Ewe.
