In the village of St Fagan’s located on the north western edge of the City of Cardiff are some thatched cottages, and the church has windows with Welsh inscriptions. St Fagan’s was once administered as part of the county of Glamorganshire but is now is part of the borough of the City of Cardiff.
The Welsh National History Museum is established here in the Tudor manor house, 'St Fagan’s Castle', which is beautifully situated above the River Ely.
