The village of Dolwyddelan is located in the Lledr Valley from which Moel Siabod (2,860 feet) can be ascended. Traditionally the birthplace of Llewellyn the Great (1194). The ruins of Dolwyddelan Castle are a short mile up the valley.
Dolwyddelan used to be part of the old county of Caernarvonshire but is now part of Conwy.
